Urban and Regional Planning
Since its inception in 2003, the Urban and Regional Planning program in the National Capital Region (the nation's fourth largest metropolitan area and fastest growing among those of more than five million people) has grown from nine students to nearly 90, from five courses to a full suite, and from two faculty members to six including professors in practice.
Located in Old Town Alexandria, the Department of Urban Affairs and Planning offers a Master of Urban & Regional Planning (MURPL) degree.
