Virginia Tech’s executive-format Master of Information Security Assurance (MISA) program focuses on a multi-disciplinary education experience that integrates information assurance engineering, management, technology, and policy studies to affect management and operation of the cyber-integrated infrastructure systems in a global environment. The executive MISA program is designed for information assurance professionals who want to get a better understating of the technical, business, and policy attributes of this discipline and/or pursue career advancement opportunities in management and strategic leadership positions in information assurance.
The entire MISA program will be delivered through alternate weekend classes and a two-week intensive field study in Europe, and is designed for completion within 17 months. The content will be delivered through in-class lectures by senior Virginia Tech faculty and professionals in industry and government specializing in information security and critical infrastructure assurance. These lectures will be supplemented with seminars, online presentations, and hands-on laboratory projects. The MISA program develops awareness and expertise for tomorrow’s information security assurance professionals which enable them to integrate ISA engineering, technology, management, policy, and practice into a coherent defense-in-depth plan to support enterprise operations.
