Business Administration
The Business Administration program at Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business, located in Falls Church, offers students two options for pursuing a MBA. Students interested in the accelerated Executive M.B.A., using a cohort model tailored to meet the needs of today's rising executives, should visit the Pamplin College of Business Executive MBA web site.
In our traditional MBA program, students typically enroll in two courses per semester. The academic requirements for completing the degree part-time are identical to those for full-time students studying at Virginia Tech's main campus in Blacksburg.
Program strengths include:
- A curriculum designed to take advantage of the university’s computer and communications infrastructure and the college’s commitment to information technology, leadership, and global business education.
- Full accreditation by the AACSB, the premier accrediting agency for business degree programs, for more than 30 years.
- Classes conveniently held in the evenings and on weekends at Virginia Tech's Northern Virginia Center, easily accessible from the Capital Beltway, I-66, Route 7, or by Metro.
- Courses taught by full-time and adjunct Ph.D. faculty members, with extensive practical experience, who view the education process as a working partnership with students. Several MBA concentrations integrate faculty expertise from multiple academic departments.
- A student body comprised of a diverse group of experienced professionals, allowing for stimulating and practical class discussions.
- Excellent support facilities, including extended hour access to the computer center, and an automated on-site library that draws on the resources of the Virginia Tech Newman Library in Blacksburg.
- Convenient online or mail-in registration with an after-hours drop box. Access to extensive career services, ranging from personal career advising to noncredit career classes to interviewing opportunities.
- Alumni who maintain an active interest in the program by mentoring students, offering career networking opportunities and providing advice on curriculum development.
