Center for Technology, Security, and Policy
The Center for Technology, Security, and Policy is a research center dedicated to research, teaching, and outreach in national and homeland security affairs at the intersection between technology and public policy.
The Center's mission is to prepare the next generation of pubic and private leaders to address today's security challenges in the context of complex political, economic, social, technology and information systems through a multi-disciplinary approach that combines public policy research with complex decision support technologies, outreach, and professional exchanges to provide new management and operational capabilities and opportunities.
The Center appreciates that technology is central to the emergence of new threats and to the organization of the countervailing forces that oppose them. It recognizes vulnerabilities often emerge at the organizational seams in complex systems and that integration of multiple disciplines is critical to security policy formulation and understanding. It combines the knowledge of academics, technologists, and practitioners with public and private sector experience in security policy affairs to address critical issues.
