Bohland has served as Executive Director and Vice-President for National Capital Region Operations for more than five years. In that capacity, he has worked to develop partnerships and network relationships with federal agencies, industry, and non-profit research organizations. Prior to assuming his position in the NCR, he served Virginia Tech as Director of the School of Public and International Affairs, Interim Provost, and Chair of the Department of Urban Affairs and Planning. He remains Director of the Institute for Community Health.

Responsibilities

As Director of the RDT, Bohland is responsible for overall management and setting directions and goals for the RDT. He works with the Associate Director for Operations in the National Capital Region to ensure that the RDT is fiscally responsible and meets all requirements for accounting and reporting of revenues. Bohland also works with the Vice-President of Research to facilitate a seamless interface between the operations of the Research Division and the RDT.
