Public Administration and Policy

Uniquely positioned in the heart of the National Capital Region, the Center for Public Administration and Policy (CPAP) Alexandria integrates the challenges of governing with the scholarship of public administration and policy. CPAP Alexandria offers doctoral and master's degree programs as well as graduate certificates. CPAP students benefit from an opportunity to grow and learn in exciting and enriching theory-based courses and through networking and discourse with fellow students. The majority of CPAP students take classes on a part-time basis, while working full-time in a wide variety of federal, regional, and local government positions, as well as positions in consulting and the non-profit sector.

The following degrees are offered: Master of Public Administration (MPA) and Ph.D.

Certificates are available in three fields: Homeland Security; Local Government Management; Public and Nonprofit Financial Management.
