Welcome to Virginia Tech’s Outreach Program Development in the National Capital Region (NCR).  We specialize in customized educational services, logistical support for many types of events and programs, and connecting community needs with the expertise of the University.   

The university is committed to serving diverse needs through quality and accessible programs of study and is dedicated to encouraging community involvement and promoting economic development.  Through all these services, the university strives to contribute to the quality of life in the National Capital Region.  Outreach is integral to the University’s mission of learning, discovery, and engagement.

The Outreach portfolio in this region is diverse and crosses the university’s entire range of expertise and resources.  Sustainability, as it relates to urban planning, engineering, existing buildings and many other applications, is becoming a strong theme in our programming.

In the National Capital Region, Emily Cuykendall, senior program coordinator, works primarily with program planning and delivery.  My focus is on community networking and customized program development.   As you look through our website pages, note that we have indicated the best contact for each area of service.
