Conference and Special Events Planning
Through Continuing and Professional Education (CPE), Virginia Tech's Outreach annually plans and implements more than 450 conferences, workshops, short courses, or trade shows that take place throughout Virginia, across the United States, and around the world. The largest program of its kind in Vriginia, it is an important service to the professional community.
Outreach in the National Capital Region (NCR) works with CPE to provide technical support tailored to each event. CPE programs can be found at www.cpe.vt.edu.
Services may include:
- Financial services
- Website design and maintenance
- Registration before the event and on-site
- Development and distribution of print and electronic marketing materials
- Assembling, archiving and publishing event materials and outcomes of special events
- Site negotiations for meeting space, lodging and technology at Virginia Tech sites or others
- On-site coordination
