Collaboration with Ballston Science and Technology Alliance

The Ballston Science and Technology Alliance (BSTA) is a non-profit organization serving those engaged in and interested in science. The group also seeks to encourage the general public to learn about and discuss contemporary issues in science and technology that impact daily life.

In 2006 the BSTA launched Café Scientifique Arlington, making science accessible in an informative café atmosphere. The informal presentations, generally held on Tuesday evenings, span the sciences, featuring speakers who can make science and technology easy to understand.

Jim Bohland, vice president and executive director, of the National Capital Region, serves on the BSTA board.

More information about BSTA can be found on the organization's website.
