Denise Orden, associate director for operations, is responsible for all aspects of administration in the National Capital Region Operations office pertaining to fiscal management, human resource oversight and coordination of special projects. Additionally, Orden serves as the NCR representative of the Office of Sponsored Programs and is available to assist faculty and staff in the National Capital Region with submitting research proposals and contracts.

Prior to transferring to the National Capital Region, Orden served as assistant dean for administration in the College of Architecture and Urban Studies from 1998-2004. She also served as business manager for that college from 1993-1998, and worked part-time on special projects at Virginia Tech prior to 1993.

Orden earned a B.S. in human ecology at the University of Minnesota.
